As a Rock and Dark-type Pokémon, Tyranitar is strong against Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, Psychic, and Ghost-type Pokémon. On the other hand, Tyranitar is really weak to Fighting, Bug, Fairy, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water-type Pokémon. Special emphasis on Fighting-types, since that is super effective against both Rock and Dark-type Pokémon and will deal 200% damage.
The possible moves it can learn are Bite and Iron Tail for the fast moves, with Crunch, Stone Edge, and Fire Blast being the charge moves.
