Cresselia is a Psychic-type Pokémon that Trainers will encounter as a Tier-5 Raid Boss in Pokémon GO. This swan-esque Pokémon from Sinnoh wields 33,794 Combat Power. As a result, it would be best to enter the Raid with three or more high-level Trainers since soloing this pocket monster is not feasible. Accordingly, having the proper elemental counters to beat this Raid Boss is essential for the best results in battle. Cresselia also has a slight chance of being Shiny in Pokémon GO, appearing with a purple and yellow body with a blue crest and bow. Its crescent-shaped ornaments also change from pink-white to a light green and cream gradient.
As a Psychic Pokémon, Cresselia is resistant to Fighting and Psychic attacks. Therefore, Pokémon such as Toxicroak, Conkeldurr, or Sawk are ineffective against this Raid Boss. On the other hand, it is weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark Moves. If the weather is Windy in the AR world of Pokémon GO, Cresselia will receive a Weather Boost, slightly enhancing its Fast and Charged Moves. Moreover, this Raid Boss will deal its maximum amount of damage when equipped with Confusion and Future Sight.

The top five counters for Legendary Cresselia in a Pokémon GO Raid are Mega Gengar, Mega Houndoom, Shadow Weavile, Mega Absol, and Shadow Mewtwo. However, not all Trainers will have these rare Shadow or Mega Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Alternatively, the regular unaltered Pokémon listed below are more than capable of countering Cresselia in a Raid Battle.
