The Strength Of Steel event has begun, meaning there's a new set of free Timed Research for Trainers to complete with some great rewards on offer. There are also three Collection Challenges – This Ore That, Heavy Metal, and Chrome Catch – which lead to Steel-type Pokémon encounters and Mega Energy, helping you add some new Mega-Evolutions to your collection.
Steel-type Pokémon are some of the most powerful creatures in, with usability across the GO Battle League and as attackers in Raid Battles. They've got loads of type resistances and access to some very powerful attacks. That makes this event the perfect time to catch them and stock up on Candy, with Timed Research and Collection Challenges to help you do just that.
Shiny odds in Pokémon GO work very differently compared to the rates in the mainline series. There are a few factors that make them so different.
There are just six tasks to complete in the Strength Of Steel Timed Research set, but they might take you a little while to finish. As well as catching 50 Steel-type Pokémon, you'll also need to evolve 10 of them and win three Raid Battles. Fortunately, this event features mostly Steel-type wild spawns and Raid Bosses, so there are plenty of them to try and catch.
The Strength Of Steel event runs from July 25, at 10 AM, to July 30, at 8 PM, 2024, in, so you've got six days to finish this set of Timed Research. You can see all of the tasks and rewards in the table below:
