Niantic has fully revealed the details as to what awaits Pokemon GO players in the next season of the mobile hit, called Season of Light. And like every new Pokemon GO season, players can expect some unfamiliar Pokemon in their area, debuts of new Pokemon, Raids, events, and more.
Pokemon GO players wanting to check out the new content can do so tomorrow, September 1. The season will kick off at 10 am local time and will end three months later on December 1 at 10 am.

The season will introduce the Legendary Nebula Pokemon, Cosmog. This Pokemon was first unveiled in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, and it's able to evolve into both boxart Legendaries for Sun and Moon, Solgaleo and Lunala.
During the season, players will be able to somehow bond with Cosmog to learn more about it. There will also be Special Research that seems tied to Cosmog, so players should make sure to check their Research tab as the season progresses.
There are also some cosmetic items coming to the Pokemon GO shop that are inspired by the Nebula Pokemon. Themed Stickers are up for grabs, too.
On September 3, 2022, from 11 am to 2 pm local time, the Psychic-type Pokemon Inkay can be encountered as a reward for completing Research Tasks. This is also the first time that Shiny Inkay is available in Pokemon GO, making this a somewhat special occasion for the first week of the new season.
