has launched its latest event, The Jungle Cup, as part of the GO Battle League. While there have been many different events for trainers looking to battle each other over the years, The Jungle Cup is like no other. With an exciting set of eligibility criteria, you must know the best team to use going into The Jungle Cup to have a chance at regularly winning matches.
The Jungle Cup can be entered until April 19th 2024, as part of the GO Battle League. The rewards at the end of each set are the same as with any other event, but you will receive four times the amount of Stardust as normal after every battle. You will also progress through the different ranks in the GO Battle League while participating in the Jungle Cup. While battling Team GO Rocket Boss Giovanni provides a tough test, PvP Go Battle League events are much harder.
Unlike most GO Battle League events in , several eligibility criteria make the event unique. Firstly, like all Great League events, all three Pokémon you select need to be below 1,500 CP, automatically ruling out most of the strongest creatures. Despite this, many can be caught at a low CP and then powered- up with Candies to make them the perfect level for this event.
Only eight types of Pokémon can be used in The Jungle Cup, leaving out many of the most common types used in the Great League, such as Water, Fire, and Fairy. However, despite this, you can still use dual types that have one eligible element, so strong Steel-types such as Steelix and Skarmory can both still be used.
Only Normal-, Grass-, Electric-, Poison-, Ground-, Flying-, Bug- and Dark- type Pokémon are eligible.
Finally, two of the most powerful Great League Pokémon combinations, Gligar and Galarian Stunfisk, are also ineligible. The criteria mean you will see many teams and individual Pokémon that you never normally would face off against in the GO Battle League.
