Trevenant is proving to be an absolute monster in Pokémon Go's PvP system. While much of the focus for Pokémon Go is on hunting your local surroundings and capturing Pokémon, it has a fairly deep competitive metagame. In a three-on-three Pokémon battle, two trainers will enter the arena, and only one will come out the winner. There are tons to consider from move stats, shield cooldown, and typing advantages. Since Trevenant had been added to the game, it's ranked high in Great, Ultra, and Master League.
To find and capture a Trevenant in Pokémon Go, trainers will need to evolve it from a Phantump. The thing that makes Trevenant unique is that it's one of the few Pokémon with multiple evolutionary methods. On the one hand, trainers can evolve it by giving it 200 Phantump candy, and there are many different ways to get candy in Pokémon Go, but it is a time-consuming process. On the other hand, trainers can receive a Phantump from trade, and it will be able to evolve without the candy requirement. This saves tons of grinding but requires players to trade with a real person, which can sometimes be demanding.
