The Pokemon franchise was created way back in 1996, and since then, it has spawned plenty of media, such as games and anime. As part of these different installments in the franchise, many unique Pokemon have been introduced. Among the more interesting was a group of Pokemon known as Squirtle Squad.
Originally debuting in an episode of Pokemon the Series: The Beginning, the Squirtle Squad made a lasting impression on numerous fans of the franchise. Composed of a group of Water-type Pokemon, the squad was helmed by a Squirtle that eventually became a Poke-partner of Ash Ketchum. Recently, one talented gamer decided to make real-life artwork based on this leader of the squad.
Pokemon Fan Makes Water Pokemon Patch With Gyarados and Squirtle
In a post on Reddit, a user known as jillianjigss92 shared a picture of a recent piece of crochet art they made. What made this particular work stand out was that the creator had designed a doll that looked like the Squirtle Squad Leader from the Pokemon franchise. The results of this project were impressive, to say the least. Remarkably, they had managed to replicate many of the key features of the Pokemon. For example, it had the same blue and white coloration as the one seen in the series. In addition, it sported a pair of cool shades reminiscent of the ones worn by the actual Squirtle Squad Leader.
While this Squirtle Squad Leader doll is impressive, it is far from the only crochet art made by jillianjigss92.
