The PlayStation Portal has been notoriously hard to find since before it had even launched in November of last year. Pre-orders sold out almost immediately, and then stock has been snatched up really fast everywhere the Portal has popped up since. Best Buy had the PS5 handheld companion device back in stock earlier this week, but it disappeared almost immediately. PlayStation now has the Portal back in stock at source, and for the first time, it hasn't sold out within minutes.

Hopefully pretty slim, and that PlayStation either has enough of them, or demand has subsided enough, that the Portal is one step closer to being readily available whenever somebody decides they want one. I can confirm at the time of typing this at least that the Portal has been in stock for more than 12 hours, comfortably a new record for the device.

PlayStation released the Portal on November 15, 2023, and despite some being skeptical, the device has been a hit. When paired with your PS5, you can play the console's games in the palm of your hand. It's basically a DualSense that has been cut in half and a screen placed in the middle. It even boasts the same haptic feedback and adaptive triggers as the current-gen controller.
