Two years ago, fans were given the first look at a PlayStation exclusive known as Stray. Coming from France-based developer BlueTwelve Studio and publisher Annapurna Interactive, players inhabit the role of a titular stray cat, where they explore the neon-hued sights of a cyberpunk city, complete with humanoid robots. This simple premise, alongside its gorgeous visuals and puzzle gameplay were a huge selling point for many. While it was initially expected to launch in October last year, Stray had to be pushed back into 2022.
Publisher Annapurna Interactive assured fans that Stray is on-track for a 2022 release, though not much information has been given about the title in recent months other than that. The most recent look that fans were given about the game was last year, with an extensive five-minute gameplay walkthrough video. It shows the player controlling the stray cat in order to navigate a variety of dangerous terrain and solve puzzles. It also showed the player encountering a small drone known as B-12, which can help them interact with the robots in the city. The trailer also announced a release window of Early 2022, but that has already passed as well.

Stray's release window seems to be clearer now, as a new tweet from PlayStation's Twitter account was promoting a variety of indie games that will be coming to the console later this year. This includes We Are OFK, Cult of the Lamb, and Stray, with brief showcases of its gameplay too. Stray is the first of these games shown, which has some text near the bottom that confirm that the game has been pushed back to Summer 2022.
