Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the first official PlayStation 5 console bundle, which comes with a digital copy of Horizon Forbidden West.
While the bundle hasn’t been heavily promoted, likely due to ongoing stock shortages, it began popping up in UK retailers this week before quickly selling out.
It costs about £500, representing a roughly £20 saving compared to buying the console and the PS5 version of the game separately at full price, although the PS4 version of Horizon Forbidden West can be purchased for significantly less and includes a free next-gen upgrade.
As spotted by Twitter user Wario64, the PS5 Horizon Forbidden West bundle is also now listed on the US PlayStation Direct site, although it’s not currently available.
Sony is currently taking registrations for the chance to buy PS5 consoles directly from the company.
Registration is now open for players based in the US, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Sony will release three new PS5 console covers colours next month. Starlight Blue, Galactic Purple and Nova Pink console covers will be available in selected regions priced at $54.99 / £44.99.
Early access for players in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg will be available via PlayStation Direct starting on June 17.
It emerged last week that Sony appears to have registered a new PS5 model in Japan.
The company recently received construction design certification for what looks to be a new ‘CFI-1200’ series model featuring updated radio equipment.
