The Pixel 8 series is going official on 4th October, later this year, and so far, we have seen extensive leaks surrounding both devices. Now, we have an idea of how much these phones are going to cost, and if you are looking to get your hands on Google's latest flagships, then expect to pay a premium since they are going to cost more than you expected.
Based on the information we have received, the Pixel 8 series is apparently receiving a price hike, at least in Europe. The report suggests that the base variant of the vanilla model is going to cost €874.25 (~$942) with the VAT and €710.77 (~$765 without the VAT. The 256 gig variant will run you for €949.30 (~$1,023) with 23% VAT.
If you are looking for the Pixel 8 Pro, then you should expect to pay f €1,235 (~$1,331) for 128GB storage, €1,309 (~$1,411) for the 256GB version, and €1,461 (~$1,575) for the 512GB model. Of course, all these prices have 23% VAT. The prices are still significantly higher than what users paid for the Pixel 7 series.
Now, it is worth noting that the price hike was in the rumor for some time as we were told that the new Pixel 8 series devices could see an increase in price anywhere from $50 to $100. This means that if these European prices are accurate, then you should expect the same to pay in other regions, as well. Still, seeing how there is still a month left before the official announcement, we cannot really confirm the prices until they are coming from Google itself.
The latest bit of information that we have also sheds light on the colors of the upcoming Pixel 8 series, something that we previously heard, as well. The vanilla model is going to be available in Hazerl, Obsidian, Rose, and Mint, whereas the pro variant is going to be available in
