Peter Dinklage, who plays Eitri the Dwarf in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently teased his return in Thor: Love And Thunder. Last seen in Avengers: Infinity War, Dinklage's Eitri is responsible for forging some of the most powerful weapons in the MCU. He was tasked with creating Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) iconic hammer from the Thor movies, Thanos's (Josh Brolin) Infinity Gauntlet, and, most recently, Thor's ax, Stormbreaker. Following the construction of Thanos's Gauntlet, Thanos slaughtered Eitri's fellow dwarves. Although he allowed Eitri to live, Thanos took away Eitri's use of his hands. But, with the aid of Thor, Rocket Racoon (Bradley Cooper), and Groot (Vin Diesel), Eitri was able to forge Stormbreaker so that Thor could have a weapon capable of killing Thanos.
Although Eitri's efforts were worthwhile and Thor successfully played a role in the defeat of Thanos during the events of Avengers: Endgame, thanks to Stormbreaker, Eitri's current whereabouts are unknown. He was last seen in Infinity War on Nidavellir, a weapons forge deep in space, but as the only remaining member of his kind, it is strange to think of Eitri staying there all by himself. While Eitri has a friendly enough rapport with Thor to possibly have been relocated by the God of Thunder, Thor is currently off on adventures with the Guardians of the Galaxy, so the two are not currently together. However, since Thor is still with Rocket Racoon and Groot, perhaps the four of them will reunite after their successful combined efforts in Infinity War.
