The official website has provided plenty of information about the mysterious video game for fans to enjoy, such as the game's official title, platform, visuals reminiscent of Persona 5, as well as details like some of the key characters, locations, and more.
For those who have been closely following Atlus news regarding the Persona video game series, dedicated fans will likely recall that Perfect World Games had already teased a partnership with Atlus back in 2021. However, all information about the teased mobile game had been scrapped shortly after. Now, close to two years since initial announcement, Atlus and Perfect World Games seem to have found the right time to make the official reveal the Persona 5 spin-off game for mobile devices.
Persona 5 Fans are Getting Unexpected Way to Show Their Love for the Series
The new mobile game, called Persona: Phantom of the Night, is indeed the title originally teased in 2021, which was then called Code Name X. The game is also being called P5X for short and will be the first mobile title in the series. Understandably, it will take a lot of inspiration from the setting, gameplay, and features of Persona 5, and looks incredibly similar to the 2016 RPG, especially considering it will be released for mobile devices.
