Of the many threats and dangers inPathologic 2, the sentient Plague is one of the main adversaries that Artemy Burakh, also known as the Haruspex, must deal with to survive and save the Town. The Plague only has one acknowledged form yet goes by several names, including Sand Plague, Sand Filth, Sand Ulcers, Sand Fever, Sand Pest, Sand Dirt, and Sandy. Having a strong Immunity will prevent Infection in this survival horror, but there's no guarantee that the player will assuredly avoid contracting the deadly Plague of Pathologic 2.
The Plague is frightening in Pathologic 2, yet dying is cheaper. Still, it will only impose itself upon those who succumb. Fortunately, there are four ways to cure oneself of the Plague, one of which can only be conducted much later during a playthrough, specifically on Day 9. Regardless, players with a burning desire to survive should administer one of the available remedies for Sand Pest in Pathologic 2.

The three primary options for curing the Plague in Pathologic 2 are Panacea, Shmowder, and fire. The fourth method is connected with the in-game achievement, «Big Heart,» and becomes available on Day 9 during the Abattoir quest in this survival horror. To be cured, speak with Zurkhen’s Big Chamber after jumping into the pit leading to the «earth's body.» After «touching the Heart of the Town,» the protagonist will no longer be afflicted with Sand Plague.
