Following this morning’s Doctor Who announcement, previous cast and crew members shared their support for actor Ncuti Gatwa's impending takeover from Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who. This long-running sci-fi series has been airing since the 1960s with several different actors having had a chance to play the titular role. Whittaker currently plays the Thirteenth Doctor, having replaced Peter Capaldi after his Regeneration.

After months of speculation regarding who would be the next actor to take on this iconic role, the BBC took to Twitter yesterday (May 8) with the surprise announcement revealing that Gatwa will be leading the Doctor Who cast in season 14.
