Alderon Games’ dinosaur themed sandbox MMO Path of Titans is getting a major new update. Night Stalker,out on May 10th, will add new elements and features set to change dinosaur combat in many new ways, in addition to some overall improvements.
Night Stalker will add new abilities and update others. Two of the new abilities are Midnight Hunter and Night Stalker, and both of these–if the names didn’t give it away–are set to add depth to nighttime dinosaur combat. Some are more specialized. Call of the Night Terrors gives the Latenivenatrix stamina recovery and damage boosts. These join other abilities, including updated ones, for more than 10 changes and additions in total.
The team's inspirations came from natural elements like watching nighttime at African watering holes, and seeing how different species, predators and prey animals, interact and sometimes fight over these vital areas and resources. Of course, if it's a matter of predators and prey animals, then the danger inherent in those encounters is going to somewhat depend on skills and after factors. Even a bit of luck. So, with this inspiration in mind, it makes sense, that they’re looking to make nights by the watering hole more contentious, even between land and aquatic dinosaurs.
Also in this update are improvements to questing and the party system, with stacking abilities for party members an option. As the team builds the roster of different available dinosaurs, they're looking to build out better systems, including for party vs.party combat. So prepare for those dino brawls of your childhood dreams.
