Visionary Realms has finally announced a release date for their early access MMORPG, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The old-school inspired MMO will hit Steam early access on December 13th for a price of $39.99. Founder's pledges are still available for those who want those perks, but only until December 1st.
Visionary Realms has been teasing the early access launch of their long-in-development MMO for a few months now, and the official release date marks a new beginning for the MMO. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen's early access launch will bring with it a host of content, from nine different races and twelve classes to choose from, six zones to explore, and the ability to level up to 40 during the initial phase of early access.
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has been in testing with its founders for some time now, opening up to all backers back in February as the team swapped to a seasonal testing model. This came off the heels of what can only be described as atumultuous few months for the Visionary Realms team, as controversy swirled as the developers toyed with the idea of creating a spin-off extraction-style title, an art style shift that still doesn't sit well with some in the community, and more.
However, this year has been a bit smoother as the team has ramped up development alongside testers providing active feedback in the push towards December's EA launch.
VR is also reminding interested players that the deadline to pledge and receive those founder's perks is quickly approaching, with the cutoff being December 1st. Pledges start at $50 and will also include a buddy download code, which, when you consider the price of the MMO in Early Access, is going to be $39.99, it doesn't seem like a bad deal.
A video released this morning highlights many of the features players can expect when it hits Steam on December 13th, from the various races and classes to the promise of «no pay to win.» The video also shows the acclimation system in action, crafting and much more.
