Do you wish that you could wake up one day and the pandemic would be no more? Well, you should have framed your wish better because Asmodee's Pandemic is no longer available on Steam and no explanation has been provided. Pandemic is based on Z-Man Games' tabletop game of the same name.
As spotted by PCGamer, the game was also removed from the Asmodee website back around November 2021. If you head over to Steam, a notice reads, "At the request of the publisher, Pandemic: The Board Game is no longer available for sale on Steam." While there's been no official word on why it has been removed from Steam, a Reddit user has claimed to have received an email from the developer.

"First of all, we want to thank you and all the Pandemic players for your loyalty and support over time. Unfortunately, we are taking the Pandemic app off the stores," said the email. "We have worked hard over 4 years on Pandemic and withdrawing it from the stores has not been an easy choice. This decision was made with a heavy heart for a multitude of reasons that we cannot disclose. For now, only PC, App Store & Google Play has been removed. Microsoft version will follow Jan 31th 2022 and then Nintendo Switch by the end of July 2022."
It went on to note that those who have already purchased the game will still be able to play it and it will continue to stay in the games library if you uninstall it.
Asmodee hasn't provided any reason for the abrupt delisting of the game. Perhaps it could be something to do with the current scenario with Covid-19. However, if the game was removed from the website around November 2021, that would have been around the time
