Mossanda and Mossanda Lux are two Pals you can find and catch in for new additions to your team. Both of these potential companions have excellent fighting skills but are still fairly different from one another. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses you can take advantage of to make them easier to catch.
Try to unlock various fast travel points on your map before you track down either panda-like Pal. Waypoints allow you to travel between important locations and your base in easily. Additionally, you may need to stock up on supplies like Pal Spheres if you find a large group of Mossandas in the wild.
The Grass-type Mossanda, or the green version of the Pal, may be found in the appropriately named Mossanda Forest. This creature is weak to Fire-type Pals, so make sure to bring one or two of this type. Mossanda are incredibly strong beasts in, and they fight by throwing heavy rocks and spitting seed projectiles when provoked.
Assault rifles and other firearms deal heavy damage to any Pal in the wild and can be a helpful way to catch Mossandas if you don't have a reliable Fire-type Pal.
Injure Mossanda to increase its capture rate, then throw a strong enough Pal Sphere to match the creature's level. Mossanda has a skill called Grenadier Panda that allows you to fire a grenade launcher rapidly while mounted on another Pal. This trait combines with Mossanda's other combat abilities, which may be enhanced even further with hidden features in like rare skill fruit trees.
The Electric-typeMossanda, or the yellow version of the Pal, is located on Eastern Wind Island at the very eastern edge of your map. This is the only spot where you can find this creature, which happens to appear as an Alpha Pal encounter. This boss fight trades rocks and seeds for electrical orbs and lightning strikes, making Mossanda Lux a tougher opponent than its cousin.
