has detailed his ongoing health issues in a new Paramount+ documentary, revealing what has happened to the music icon.
The new documentary, titled No Escape From Now, premieres on the streaming platform later this year, and is said to detail “the devastating setbacks” that the legendary musician has gone through after suffering a fall in 2019 that left him injured.
The documentary is directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Tania Alexander, and was filmed from 2022 all the way through what Osbourne is calling his final performance with Black Sabbath, which takes place on July 5, 2025.
“The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I’ve been through. There’s been times when I thought my number was up,” Osbourne said in a statement (via Variety). “But making music and making two albums saved me. I’d have gone nuts without music. My fans have supported me for so many years, and I really want to thank them and say a proper goodbye to them. That is what the Villa Park show is about.”
In 2019, Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a diagnosis that has left him unable to walk, according to Osbourne on his SiriusXM radio show. In a separate interview with The Sun, Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, detailed the battle that her husband has been engaged with over the past six years, saying that it’s “affected his legs,” but that “his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”
The documentary is said to feature Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, and their children, as well as musicians Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), guitarist Zakk Wylde, producer Andrew Watt and friend/musician Billy Morrison, all of whom will likely speak in interviews on Osbourne.
