It seems that fans are still struggling to find players who want to play the Vanguard role in competitive matches. Tanks, known as Vanguards in, are few and far between, and without a role queue, getting someone to swap to a tank is almost impossible sometimes.

While having one tank can be fine in some situations, especially if the enemy team has three support and one tank, having two tanks to create space and push the point is usually the best way to secure a win.
With The Thing being added to the roster at the start of season 1.5, one would think that it would be easy to find players who want to play tank. The Thing is new and exciting and if we look at how fast players locked in Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic when they came out, you would think the same would happen with The Thing. Finding a tank player is difficult due to it almost certainly being the hardest role, according to the comments.
