More information about Overwatch 2 is starting to be shared consistently, and the latest batch of info has been focused on the new hero Sojourn. However, her gameplay footage has provided some interesting looks at other Overwatch 2 characters as well.
While Sojourn’s gameplay video showcased her abilities, which include a neat slide and devastating railgun shots, players were quick to point out the heroes she was fighting throughout the video. Fans have noticed a couple redesigns that Blizzard has yet to properly unveil, with new looks for Roadhog and Ashe briefly appearing during the Sojourn showcase. However, this footage seems to be the gift that keeps on giving, as fans have also gotten a look at the new and improved Wrecking Ball — and more specifically, Hammond.

As those who have played Overwatch in the past few years will know, Hammond is a genetically engineered hamster that pilots a ball-shaped mech. Due to both the cuteness of the hamster and the hero’s unique abilities, which allow Wrecking Ball to contest points better than most characters, he has built up quite the reputation in recent years. As for his original character model, he was essentially just a large hamster with a harness, making his design in the sequel a bit more detailed.
Near the end of the Sojourn gameplay trailer, where the hero uses her Ultimate to activate a charged rail gun shot, Hammond is seen taking a hit from the weapon.
