Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard Zombies modes are completely different experiences. Vanguard Zombies is more of an objective-based experience, and has so far swayed away from the traditional round-centric maps that a lot of fans enjoy. Now, Treyarch has deployed an update in Black Ops Cold War Zombies, which adds an array of new content. There is a new Easter egg to take on, a new Outbreak game mode, and much more.
A new Easter egg has arrived in Black Ops Cold War Zombies, depending on how many main quests you have completed already. You will be able to access a new secret location, which is filled with rewards and a permanent upgrade in all Zombies maps.
Also, a new Outbreak game mode has been added named Outbreak Collapse. In order to survive, you must outlast increasingly challenging waves on enemies for 10 minutes. Then, you will have to attempt to escape and choose from one of two regions to infiltrate. The difficulty steps up every two minutes. If you manage to survive, race to the exfil point and successfully leave before the time runs out. In addition, be on the look out for new abomination enemies in Outbreak, and an HVT abomination added to the eliminate objective.
Beyond the new Easter egg and whatnot, the update has made some small bug fixes for Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies. A problem has been fixed where players which had Tombstone Tier IV equipped were not being respawned near the end of a round. Weapons that were released in Season Six can now be found in the mystery box.
Although we are in the second year of Black Ops Cold War’s life cycle, the new content will be welcomed by Zombies fans, especially since there is a lack of it in Vanguard.
