In the few months that it’s been out, Horizon Forbidden West has received plenty of patches from developer Guerrilla Games. The latest one is here, and while it fixes more quests and bugs, it’s still contending with some visual issues.
As detailed on Reddit, update 1.13 fixes a few main quests, including Reach for the Stars and Death’s Door. If you encountered issues attempting to complete those, you ought to be clear now. A sampling of side quests and world activities also got similar fixes. Beyond those, the update improves performance, the UI, and user experience.
While update 1.13 fixes many things, it also points out known issues that Guerrilla is still working on. First is the visual shimmering problem, which has plagued the game for a few updates now. In a separate visual hiccup, “dark shadows” are appearing on some outfits in Aloy’s inventory. Lastly, there are some quest bugs not fixed in this particular patch. Those will be addressed in future updates, but for now you can check out the full patch notes below.
