One fan has kept themselves busy during the wait by turning the latest piece of Overwatch 2 key art into an animation.
Given how large the Overwatch fan base is, there are plenty of creative gamers within it, meaning spectacular community creations are far from uncommon. Seemingly every day, new Overwatch skin concepts are being shared, fresh fan art is being posted, and interesting discussions are being had. Despite this, animations are a bit rarer, making a recent Reddit post from GunmetalPj particularly cool. For those that have been keeping up with news regarding the sequel, the animated art should be familiar.
Overwatch 2 Dev Discusses Balancing Plans For Sojourn and Other Characters Ahead of PvP Beta
Alongside the announcement of Overwatch 2’s upcoming beta, Blizzard shared several screenshots from the game as well as some new key art that features three heroes and the game’s logo. This key art is what GunmetalPj went out of their way to animate, and they did an excellent job with this adjustment. In the animation, Brigitte and Sojourn can be seen moving their arms up and down, making it seem like the two heroes are alive. Brigitte’s shield can also be seen glowing, which is another smart adjustment.
The most obvious adjustment can be seen on Zenyatta, who is sporting his Overwatch 2 redesign. The orbs that the Support hero uses for healing allies and debuffing enemies can be seen spinning around him just like they would in-game, and this adds a lot to the piece.
