Activision Blizzard first confirmed Overwatch 2 back in 2019, and since then, Overwatch fans have been anticipating the changes coming with the upcoming sequel. Fans of the original game and new players alike will be able to sign up for the Overwatch 2 beta now, as the sign-ups are already live.
Overwatch 2 has had multiple testing phases in order to optimize the gameplay and balance the growing list of heroes ahead of its release, most recently the beta that concluded in May. While sign-ups are now live for another upcoming beta, Overwatch fans anticipating the Overwatch 2 PvE game modes will be waiting into next year for the rest of the experience.
Overwatch 2 is Getting Rid of Loot Boxes
Overwatch has confirmed that the Overwatch 2 beta will begin on June 28, and Activision Blizzard is collecting players from all platforms to participate in the closed beta. Signing up for the Overwatch 2 beta will not only give players access to the beta build of the game, but they will also be able to play as Overwatch 2's Junker Queen for the first time on a previously unplayable map. In order for Overwatch fans to opt into the Overwatch 2 beta, they will need to log in using their Battle Net information before selecting their preferred platform to be added to the list.
This beta isn't simply limited to PC as Activision Blizzard has opened the Overwatch 2 latest testing phase to console players for the first time, expanding the potential audience. One new hero was confirmed for Overwatch 2 during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase during Summer Game Fest when the Junker Queen was revealed, while Sojourn has been highlighted in previous trailers and was playable in the last beta.
