Achievements may not be the most important feature of a game, but they can add a lot of replayability to the title. Achievements encourage players to explore every inch of the game, collect every collectible, and use every item. For multiplayer games, achievements tend to encourage new styles of play, and Overwatch 2's new achievements certainly do that.
Much like other AAA multiplayer games, Overwatch 2's achievement list is designed specifically to ensure that players see all there is to see in the game. As well as general achievements based around completing a certain number of matches or hitting specific milestones, Overwatch 2 also has a slew of hero-based achievements, each of which requires the player to pull off some stylish, skillful moves as every hero. With 160 achievements in the game, players have plenty to do in Overwatch 2.

For the most part, Overwatch 2's achievement list is almost identical to that of the first game. That being said, there are a handful of new achievements in Overwatch 2, most of which revolve around the sequel's new heroes. Each of Overwatch 2's three new heroes, Kiriko, Junker Queen, and Sojourn, all have two unique achievements each, requiring players to perform specific character actions with their abilities.
The Junker Queen's two achievements revolve around her ability to wound enemy players, and her Jagged Blade attack. The first achievement, «Adrenaline Junkie,» tasks players with having seven active wounds at the same time on enemy players.
