When it was announced that the game was ditching loot boxes in exchange for a battle pass, those anticipating Overwatch 2 might have been concerned that skins would take a backseat. While the game did not debut with the number of new skins many have hoped for, Activision-Blizzard did introduce a customizable mythic skin on Genji with the promise of more to follow.
If the developers do decide to honor this hero who can wipe out an entire enemy team in one blast, there is an artist on Reddit that has made a compelling case for D.Va. Beyond that, Reddit user b3p_si (accredited as Leyre Elola on the image itself) has made a pitch that they should get hired onto the team in order to make this skin a reality.

The fanart is personalized and stylish with an alarming level of detail. Beyond just the character herself, she's given a portrait, sidearm, spray paint, trinkets, catchphrase, and even the bottom of her shoe is customized. This kind of attention to detail is something that the developers should be paying attention to.
This is not to say that Blizzard is at all negligent with its heroes currently. Although many are unimpressed with Junker Queen's legendary skin, she does have a detail with her kneepad that indicates a great deal of thoughtfulness went into her design. As usual, there are always hits and misses when it comes to skins for these heroes.
