Fireflies are glowing bugs that appear in the Hallowed Marsh. When walking near these bug clusters, they will chase you indefinitely.
Once a cluster of fireflies is following you, you will be able to clearly notice them. In the image above, you can check out a player who is plagued with fireflies. As they follow you, your stealth will be reduced. This will greatly reduce your ability to sneak by enemies, which can be quite dangerous.
There is only one way to remove fireflies, so let's take a look at it below.
To remove fireflies, you will need to walk near a Firefly Plant. This is a plant that grows around the Hallowed Marsh; the plant glows red, making it easy to spot from a distance.
Once you are close enough to the Firefly Plant, it will eat the bugs and produce Firefly Powder that can be collected. This is an item used to make flash traps, as well as several potions and golden weapons.
