Netflix has released the teaser trailer for Season 4, highlighting the return of the Pogues as they navigate new adventures.
Season 4 of the hit Netflix teen drama had begun production earlier in 2023, though it was delayed due to the now-resolved Hollywood strikes at the time. Outer Banks Season 4 will be released in two parts, with the first five episodes arriving on October 10. The remaining episodes will arrive the following month on November 7.
The teaser trailer opens with Chase Stokes’ John B. Routledge uttering, “We finally did it. We finally found the gold.” A discovery where the story should have ended, the character teased that it’s only the “beginning” of more adventures, though — contrary to the past seasons — they’ve got “everything to lose this time.”
“A tight-knit group of teens unearths a long-buried secret, setting off a chain of illicit events that takes them on an adventure they’ll never forget,” the logline for Outer Banks reads.

Fans can expect an intense new season considering everything that transpired during the Season 3 finale. Per the official synopsis, the upcoming season will take viewers back in time “following last season’s 18-month flash-forward showing Wes Genrette’s proposal for the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure.”
All of the Pogues will return for Season 4 to reprise their roles, including Stokes as John, Madelyn Cline as Sarah, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Madison Bailey as Kie, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, and Carlacia Grant as Cleo. The new season will also see the return of Drew Starkey as Rafe, Austin North as Topper, and Cullen Moss as Deputy Shoupe, with Fiona Palomo’s Sofia returning as a series regular.
Outer Banks will be returning on October 10 and November 7, almost two years after the Season 3 premiere. The past seasons are available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
