Our Flag Means Death actor Samba Schutte has revealed how the series' interesting title cards are created. Our Flag Means Death is the HBO Max original series created by David Jenkins. Based on a true story, the series is set in 1717 when a wealthy landowner named Stede Bonnet decides to end his cushy life and become a pirate after experiencing a midlife crisis. Our Flag Means Death stars Rhys Darby, Joel Fry, Samson Kayo, and Taika Waititi (who also directed the first episode), and began streaming on HBO Max in early March.
