Shipwright “Cyborg” Franky becomes larger than life in one outrageous One Piece cosplay from Momocon in Atlanta, Georgia. Franky himself would admire the craftsmanship that went into sculpting and donning this undeniably impressive cosplay.
Momocon is a fan convention typically held around March or May in Georgia, and has become a bastion of all things comics, gaming, manga and anime. While Momocon is surely home to hundreds of brilliant cosplays, Franky from One Piece is definitely one of the most challenging to bring to life. His pauldron-esque shoulder spheres have been depicted in the manga as almost twice the size of Franky’s own torso, making them particularly difficult to emulate in real life.

The cosplay in question was shared on Reddit by cosplayer Zionox-. Despite the daunting magnitude of Franky’s build and stature, this cosplayer took it upon themselves to recreate as much detail and bulk as possible. Their cosplay perfectly captures the over-the-top nature of Franky’s cyborg body, sparing nothing to fully portray his gargantuan robot arms. In the One Piece series itself, Franky’s arms aren’t just for show either. Franky possesses extraordinary strength with these powerful mechanical limbs, and houses a pair of normal human-sized robot arms within them for when dexterity is required.
