Total Film has offered fans a new look at Obi-Wan's lightsaber and costume in Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi series through two upcoming magazine covers. The widely-anticipated Star Wars spin-off series is set to debut on Disney's streaming service on May 27, 2022. The series will see Ewan McGregor physically return to the role for the first time since 2005's Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
Taking place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Obi-Wan Kenobi sees McGregor return to his belovedStar Wars role during one of the darkest periods in the history of the galaxy far, far away. The Jedi Order has fallen, with any surviving members of the Jedi order being hunted by Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) and his groups of Inquisitors. Forced to step out of the shadows, McGregor must take up his saber once more, bringing him face-to-face with Darth Vader. As Lucasfilm and Disney prepare to launch the series in May, a pair of upcoming magazine covers have given fans their best glimpse at the Jedi master in exile.
