With the iPhone 14 launch date approaching near, rumors and leaks have started doing rounds on the internet for the next iPhone 15 line up as well. While we already read that the iPhone 14 standard model will be less exciting as well as less powerful than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the same is likely to be applied for iPhone 15 line up as well. As per the reports, this year, Apple will divide its lineup into two categories- “less flagship” and “more flagship” and this strategy will be applied to the iPhone 15 series as well.
According to a report by Gizchina, only the Pro iPhones will get Apple's newest A16 Bionic chipset while standard models will retain the same A15 bonic chipset we have seen on iPhone 13 line up. And this will continue to go with other future line-ups as well. The report suggests that the 15 Pro will get the A17 while the non-Pro mobiles will be retaining a year old chipset.
That's not all, the other major difference that we might get to see on iPhone pro and non pro models are periscopic camera lenses. “After several years of hesitation, the company will bring a periscope lens. However, it will make it exclusive to the more-expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max,” says the report. Analyst Ming-Chio Kuo shared that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the first iPhone to get a periscope lens. However, the iPhone 15 Pro will stick to the telephoto lens. As per the analyst, the periscope lens will offer 6 x magnification while capturing photos.
Also, the new punch-hole design will be seen on Pro models only.
