The constant ringing of the phone during your office hours or while doing important work can be annoying. And think about attending a spam call while expecting an important one! Well, thanks to the iOS 15 features, iPhone users have this smart trick to end the annoyance of spam calls or even constant calls from someone specific. Yes, all the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and all other iPhone users who have iOS 15 on their device can block a specific contact as well as silence the spam calls in just a few simple steps.
However, it is worth noting that once you block a contact on your iPhone, you will no longer get any calls from that person, not even texts and FaceTime requests. This iPhone trick will send all the blocked call requests into voicemail, which will give them a hint that they have been blocked. But don't worry! In the case of text, you will never receive messages from the blocked contacts, but it will appear normal for the sender. So, you can go ahead to stop the spam calls or block a specific contact with a few taps on your iPhone.
Just go to Settings on your iPhone.
Tap on the Phone, then either choose Silence Unknown Callers or Call Blocking & Identification.
Silence Unknown Callers: This will send you notifications for calls from people in your contacts, recent outgoing calls, and Siri Suggestions.
Call Blocking & Identification: This will turn on Silence Junk Callers (available with certain carriers) to silence calls identified by your carrier as potential spam or fraud.
