Torn Banner Studios, the masterminds behind Chivalry 2 and the upcoming No More Room in Hell 2, has announced that the eight-player, co-op horror will be launching in early access on October 22. Those interested in the game can purchase it for $29.99 on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. So far, No More Room in Hell 2 has over 750,000 wishlists on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, with there being an outpouring of support from the community as well as new players being enticed after the unveiling at Summer Games Fest and Gamescom Opening Night Live.
No More Room in Hell 2 is a sequel to the 2011 award-winning Source mod, with players starting in an isolated, dark environment, where they have to meet up with their friends and try to survive in a never-ending zombie apocalypse. As you progress, you'll be able to get your hands on powerful weapons, such as assault rifles and explosives. Much like a roguelike, if you die, the character's progress is lost altogether, meaning there are choices to be made in order to succeed.
This upcoming title is powered by Unreal Engine 5, with veterans at Torn Banner Studios working in conjunction with Lever Games, the original creator of the franchise. Lever Games has now been fully acquired by Torn Banner Studios and is integrated fully into their team to help make No More Room in Hell 2 a terrifying experience for all horror fans.
In No More Room in Hell 2, players will get to explore a massive replayable map. It's not stated yet whether there will be more maps added in the future, but for now, players will be able to utilize proximity voice chat to try and find each other in the zombie apocalypse. When you first start out in the game, you start with only a beer bottle, and have to work your way up to obtaining powerful weapons.
