Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky recently saw the release of yet another major free update, dubbed Worlds Part 1, and though the focus of the update is on a massive overhaul of planets, a new Expedition, new creatures, and more, it seems like it secretly also added support for the long-rumoured PS5 Pro.
Spotted by dataminer @bomber_that on Twitter, the update seems to include a new graphics preset for “Trinity”, which, as per prior leaks, is the codename under which the PS5 Pro has been in development. The strings in the datamined leak suggest that the upgrades that have been implemented in the game for the console aren’t especially hefty, though of course, there’s nothing to say that this is final by any means, especially given the fact that the PS5 Pro hasn’t even been officially announced yet.
Prior leaks have claimed that the enhanced console will launch at some point in September, and though Sony has yet to officially announce it (or even acknowledge its existence, for that matter), a recent report claimed that the PS5 Pro was still on track for a 2024 release. Read more on that through here.
