Nintendo has shared a first look at early development footage of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which mostly focuses on an early version of vehicle building.
We're just a few short days (although they certainly feel long) away from the long-awaited launch of Tears of the Kingdom and, like me, I'm sure you're counting down the hours until you can return to Hyrule and reunite with Link, Zelda, and a truly open-world. To help pass the time and keep you excited, Nintendo has shared a brief look at a development build beta of Tears of the Kingdom that has quite a few differences from the final game.

As highlighted by Redditor Emotional-Ad-1188 on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, the footage was shared in a developer Q&A over on the official Tears of the Kingdom website. The Q&A features several key developers, such as Tears of the Kingdom's producer Eiji Aonuma and its director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, talking through how the game came to be while showing off a variety of early gameplay clips.
All three of the clips highlighted on the Reddit page focus on one of the big new additions to Tears of the Kingdom - the ability to create vehicles by fusing together parts found around the world. The first and second clips show Link standing on a cart that's been made out of wheels and a large piece of metal, while the final clip instead focuses on Link riding on a very rickety-looking boat made out of turbines and a plank of wood.
