When it comes to the next iteration of the Nintendo Switch, rumors continue to swirl that the next iteration of the hybrid console will sport some of the community's most anticipated releases. When it comes to speculating on the nature of the next Switch, there's no shortage of reports claiming to know about the games currently in development for the platform or even the hardware that will sit within its shell. Nintendo has yet to confirm anything, but if the latest rumors are to believed, one leaker has a fairly decent idea of what fans can expect.
Per NintendoLife, leaker Midori, who has a proven track record as a relatively reliable source when it comes to Nintendo projects, shared the codenames of several allegedly in-development titles.
These include «Edward,» a new game, «Anna,» which is supposedly and «SPRed,» which is believed to be another 3D game. It's worth noting that while Midori is regarded as a solid source, their report should still be taken with a grain of salt until Nintendo provides some kind of clarification on the games consumers can expect to see on the Switch 2.
The Fire Emblem franchise had many successes on the Nintendo Switch, and the company’s next console could expand upon that in many ways.
Out of all the supposed codenames Midori leaked, the one that's arguably the most interesting is «SPRed» given that , a launch title for the original Switch that's still considered one of the console's best games was created under the name «RedStar.»
The link could be coincidental but Nintendo has a history of using «Red» to refer to games. Fans of the plumber will just have to wait and see whether finally recieves a sequel that's up to the first title's exceptional standard.
