New World: Aeternum Season 7, Season of Conquerors, will feature the debut of Seasonal Worlds. The first season theme is PvP, and now we know how these servers are going to work, with new details on rules, rewards, and more.
When the season begins on January 21st, you'll have the option to roll characters on new seasonal worlds. This season, after you reach level 15 or you choose a faction, you will be flagged for PVP at all times. This will increase the chances of open world conflict, and it will make you have to be strategic in your decision making and risk-taking. There's new gear that you can earn only on these servers, Conquerors and Ethereal gear, and they'll drop on death.
As with season servers you might have seen before, these limited time servers will feature faster progression. Expect +25% XP, weapon mastery, and tradeskill XP gain. They want to get rid of some of the grind, so mount skills and the Heartrune slot will unlock without the need to complete associated quests. You'll find crafting to be cheaper and have a higher gear score than you’re used to, because the team is trying to get you geared up and ready. These servers are only around for a limited time, after all.
There’s a new resource, Ethereal Dust, that serves to help you discover and unlock new Conquerors gear crafting recipes. You'll also start the game able to craft Ethereal versions of weapons, armor, jewelry, and tools, and all will have low level requirements, special perks focused on PvP, and more to help you get started. Both Conquerors items and Ethereal ones drop on death and will break with enough use, but Ethereal ones are much more durable.
There are many more detailsin the new devblog laying out the weapons you can create, how the gear crafting will work, and how to get an idea of risk versus reward on these special extra competitive servers. There is a seasonal endgame as well, and you can earn stuff like mount attachments, cosmetics, And even a PVP housing trophy that will
