New Weapons Revealed for Splatoon 3
Splatoon 3 looks set to be one of Nintendo's biggest releases for 2022. With an upcoming release date in September, the second entry in the Splatoon franchise for the Nintendo Switch has been showing off more and more details about its gameplay, maps, and more. Earlier in July, Splatoon 3 gave fans a look at one of its new maps, Mincemeat Metalworks, a facility made from scrap metal that fans will be able to cover in paint when they load into the game.
Now, some new weapons join the expansive list of recently revealed Splatoon 3 content. As with Mincemeat Metalworks, the latest information on Splatoon 3 is coming to gamers via the Squid Research Lab, an official news series run by Nintendo that focuses on the Splatoon games. The latest bit of news fans have received from the Squid Research Lab revolves around two new weapons coming to Splatoon 3, the Octobrush and the Inkbrush, both of which are weapons designed similarly to paintbrushes.
Splatoon 3 Details Two New Special Weapons
The Inkbrush is stated to not be the most powerful weapon in Splatoon 3, but it is meant more for speedy advances to paint the map around the player. Also, according to the Squid Research Lab, the Inkbrush has access to «dizzying flourishes,» which can «mess with opponents' heads.» It's not exactly stated what these flourishes will equate to in the game, but it is likely that they will be related to the rapid-fire swings that can paint the face of the enemy in Splatoon 3.
