The long-awaited wedding of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and Luis «Louie» Ruelas was held on August 6, with the bride looking like a princess in her dazzling outfit. Teresa and Luis's journey to the aisle wasn't easy, as the couple faced personal and public scrutiny toward their relationship. The newlyweds met in 2020, after Teresa's 20-year marriage with Joe Giudice ended. Before the end of the marriage, Teresa spent almost a year in prison after she was found guilty of fraud in connection with Joe. After her release from prison, Teresa lost her mom, Antonia Gorga, while her dad died three years later.

However, Teresa's life changed for the better after she met Luis. Still, when she made their relationship public, allegations arose about his shady past. Luis was alleged to have been abusive towards his exes, which caused Teresa's family and close friends to attempt to talk her out of the relationship.
