The Orb Club in Two Point Campus works very differently from all the other clubs in the game. While other clubs are focused on a benefit for your students - like helping them walk or learn faster - the Orb Club just benefits you. Every time a student signs up for the Orb Club or levels up, you'll make some money at the expense of their happiness.

The Orb Club is basically the Two Point Campus equivalent to a pyramid scheme, as you can hear propaganda on the radio for it, and students can be seen kneeling in front of some club items as if worshipping them. Even though the Orb Foundation claims that it's a "not-for-profit," the club is hugely lucrative, which is kind of the whole point of running a campus.
To unlock the Orb Club, you'll need to play the eighth level of the campaign, Upper Etching. You won't receive student tuition fees or rent on this campus, so your income will be severely limited. The Orb Club is practically required for the Upper Etching level unless you want to risk taking out loans.
After playing the level for a couple of in-game months, the Orb Foundation will reach out to you and allow you to set up an Orb Club. Once this happens, you'll be able to buy and place an Orb Club stand and an Orb Statue - the rest of the club items can be unlocked with Kudosh. The club stand will allow students to become Orb members, granting you $250 every time someone signs up. Having an assistant on the stand will boost member sign-ups, as will pressing the 'Prioritise Recruitment' option on the Orb Club Stand's menu.
