Grinding Gear Games has released a new teaser trailer for the hotly-anticipated action role-playing sequel Path of Exile 2.
The “Ngamakanui” teaser, shown during Summer Game Fest, features typical ARPG combat in a dark, gory, monster-filled environment. It mentions more of the game will be shown during ExileCon in July.
The Path of Exile 2 teaser comes hot on the heels of the launch of Diablo 4, which is Blizzard’s fastest-selling game ever.
2013’s Path of Exile is a long-standing resident of the top 100 most-played games list on Steam, where it enjoys a “very positive” user review rating.
Path of Exile 2 introduces a new seven-act storyline campaign, with updated visuals and gameplay. Both Path of Exile and the sequel share the same game client and endgame systems, however, which means players can choose to play the Path of Exile campaign or the Path of Exile 2 campaign before endgame.
"Path of Exile 2 brings better bosses, a new skill gem system, and gorgeous graphics," IGN wrote in a 2021 Path of Exile 2 preview.
Path of Exile 2 launches at some point in 2024. For more, check out our full recap of all the Summer Game Fest reveals.
