In the latest Cord of the Rings live stream, the Lord of the Rings Online community manager talked about when players can expect its upcoming free The Dragon and the Storm instance to launch, as well as a tease of the upcoming fall expansion, Legacy of Morgoth.
The upcoming instance has been getting some testing done on the Bullroarer test server, but the wait for when it releases will soon be over, as Jerry «Cordovan» Snook is telling viewers that the instance should arrive on the live servers this week. The instance is part of Daybreak's greater Year of the Dragon update, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons and will be released for free to players.
The Cord of the Rings stream also touched on the ongoing Legendary Servers, Angmar and Mordor, with Cordovan confirming the team isn't planningany more tweaks to its Lesser Wraith spawns after spending the better part of the last few weeks adjusting their spawn rates (and where they spawn).
For those of us waiting on the new Elf character models, we will likely be seeing them hit Bulroarer at some point in September, and for those looking even farther ahead, we will start to see teases and reveals for this fall's expansion, Legacy of Morgoth, in the coming weeks. Scenario will be showcasing some of the regions from the dev build on the weekly Casual Stroll streams, with Cord saying that the Legacy of Morgoth stuff is, very much, «on its way.»
