Lies of P publisher Neowiz has acquired a 21 percent stake in BLANK., the Polish game studio founded in early 2023 by former CD Projekt RED developers Mateusz Kanik, Mikolaj Marchewka, Jedrzej Mroz, and Marcin Jefimow. Neowiz invested $17 million to acquire the stake.
The strategic partnership aims to expand both company’s presence in global console market, and Neowiz hopes to solidify its position in the global console market. Both companies will continue to become competitive development studios and collaborate on various business opportunities as part of ongoing efforts.
“As a strategic investor, we view [BLANK.] as a studio poised to emerge as a formidable contender in the realm of AAA-quality gaming,” said Neowiz co-CEO Seung-Cheol Kim in a press release. “We also recognize substantial synergies between our experiences in crafting unique titles. BLANK.’s debut game features a structure unlike the majority of narrative-driven games. With its distinctive take on the apocalypse, the experience will prove to be simultaneously refreshing and familiar for audiences, complete with intriguing twists.”
