Fighting games can create an entirely unique cast of characters and concepts that appeal to a variety of niche interests. One of these is Them's Fightin' Herds, a game that once started out as a My Little Pony-inspired fan game by a team known as Mane6. This eventually saw the game transforming into its own property with a set of quadrupedal fighters inspired by the original characters.
While Thems' Fightin Herds announced it will be coming to consoles this Fall, it has been playable on Steam for the last two years. It earned quite a bit of acclaim from fans and critics, where its story mode combines fighting game and adventure RPG elements, and the first chapter focused on the cowgirl Arizona. The development team Mane6 has confirmed that the first DLC character for the game's first season pass will be her father, Texas.

This reveal was at Summer Jam 2022, a Fighting Game Tournament in New Jersey that features a number of popular titles like Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Strive, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This trailer shows that Texas is a giant bull, and he is the first male fighter of the cast of Them's Fightin' Herds. It's no surprise that his stature makes him tower over all the other playable fighters in the game, and he has a heavy hitting moveset to boot.
