The developers behind MultiVersus set out to challenge fans to achieve 10 million ring-outs to unlock a new Rick And Morty level, but the massive task was completed faster than anyone expected. Warner Bros.' new free-to-play platform fighter pits many popular characters from WB properties against one another. The results are match-ups between franchises fans usually wouldn't imagine being grouped together. As of July 26th, the MultiVersus beta has become available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows platforms. Fans can battle with characters from series ranging from Batman to Adventure Time to Game of Thrones. With the game being free to play, fans can expect new stages and fighters to join the game over time, starting with Adult Swim's Rick and Morty.
With MultiVersus now available for all players, fans can start working towards unlocking new stages and more fighters from the game's current roster of seventeen characters. Developer Player First Games built the gameplay with 2 vs. 2 matches in mind. Every character fits into a specific class that players can group with other fighters to devise the most effective strategies. Like Super Smash Bros., MultiVersus characters must use their unique attacks and abilities to damage opponents and ring out other players. And in a very short amount of time, players have rung out 10 million characters, which has earned the community a new Rick and Morty map to battle on.
