Those who are thinking of downloading MultiVersus will now have a very hard time trying to do so. The Warner Bros. Games title is no longer available for download across multiple platforms.
On digital storefronts such as the PS Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam, users won't have the option to download the free-to-play platform fighter. Last week, we learned that MultiVersus would be going offline on June 25, as the open beta comes to an end. The developers will continue to work on the game, however, with a launch planned for "early 2024". Until June 25, players can continue as normal. But for those who wanted to give the title a spin it'll be much harder now since the game is no longer available to download.

This wasn't something hidden by the game's developer, Player First Games, but it was a little buried in last week's Open Beta Update. For those who have the game already installed, online play is still open to these players until the June cut-off point.
Developer Player First Games has paused updates for MultiVersus in the limited time left until the game is taken offline, although there is some limited offline access as players can still play in the game's training room in addition to local matches.
Dedicated players have expressed their disappointment and frustration that the developer is taking the game offline for such an extended period, especially as MultiVersus will have had an open beta approaching a year-long by the time it's taken offline. Players have been actively spending money on the game, too, such as on the pricey Founder's Packs, while the title has picked up industry recognition, taking home the Best Fighting Game at The Game
