For the past two weeks, MultiVersus players have had access to the Super Smash Bros.-like fighting game's Open Beta. This first chapter in MultiVersus' soft launch is soon coming to an end, however, as the «pre-season» wraps up and Season 1 arrives. Starting August 9, MultiVersus Season 1 will launch alongside the release of Morty from Rick & Morty as a fighter. It also marks the start ofMultiVersus' first full-fledged Battle Pass, early details of which developer Player First Games has now shared.
As current MultiVersus players already know, the pre-season version of MultiVersus' Battle Pass is somewhat underwhelming. There's both Adventure Time's Finn in Pajamas skin and a Cake skin for Jake at tier 15, but otherwise, the Battle Pass is very thin. As expected, MultiVersus game director Tony Huynh has confirmed the pre-season Battle Pass is limited by nature. A full Battle Pass will arrive for Season 1, with both a full price and a full collection of tiers for players to progress through with all-new content to unlock.

In the pre-season, the Battle Pass cost just 300 Gleamium. In Season 1 of MultiVersus, Huynh says he thinks the price will be 950 Gleamium. Currently, $10 will buy 1,000 Gleamium, leaving players with just enough to feel like they need to buy more to get something from the MultiVersus shop. As for tiers, the pre-season had just 15 for players to progress through. In Season 1, MultiVersus players will be able to unlock a full 50 tiers of content.
